A step-by-step guide to setting up and taking down your Aqua Pioneer Bivvy.
STEP 1:
Lay out the ground sheet on the floor where you wish to erect your Pioneer Bivvy. The front of the groundsheets has a small Aqua label which indicates the doorway and is best positioned with the wind coming from behind as this greatly increases stability in very high winds.
STEP 2:
Standing at the back of the groundsheet, carefully fan the ribs of the bivvy ensuring no fabric is trapped around the bars then fully insert the poles into the erection cups on the Pioneer block.
STEP 3:
Bring the two erection handles together using steady force. Once both parts of the hinge are together, swing the ‘S hook’ over the remaining erection cup, then release the tension and remove the poles. NOTE: Do not use excessive force as this could damage the poles, if it feels overt-stiff check the fabric is not caught around the poles.
STEP 4:
Once the bivvy is erect and in the correct position, secure the two rear pegging points then insert two storm poles to the outer storm rod fixings. The storm poles should be inserted into the Aquatexx sleeves on the left and right wings of the bivvy.
STEP 5:
If required, you can zip on the front infill pan-el and attach two front storm rods either side of the door to secure the infill panel.
STEP 6:
Peg out the bivvy using the groundsheet as a template, inserting the pegs through the rings on both the bivvy and the ground sheet.
STEP 7:
Extend the storm rods and secure in place to create tension on the shelter before tucking the bivvy draft skirts under the groundsheet.
