Aqua Ultralite Instructions

A step-by-step guide to setting up and taking down your Aqua Ultralite Bivvy

ASSEMBLY:

STEP 1:

Lay the groundsheet on the floor where you wish to erect your Ultralite bivvy. The front of the groundsheet has a small Aqua label which indicates the doorway, and is best positioned with the wind coming from behind because this greatly increases stability in very high winds.

STEP 2:

Standing at the back of the groundsheet, carefully fan the ribs of the Ultralite to ensure no fabric is trapped around the bars, then fully insert the poles into the erection cups on the Ultralite block.

STEP 3:

Bring the two erection handles together using steady force. Once both parts of the hinge are together, swing the S- hook over the remaining erection cup, then release the tension and remove the poles. NOTE: Do not use excessive force because this could damage the poles; if it feels overly-stiff, check the fabric is not caught around the poles.

STEP 4:

Once the bivvy is erect and in the correct position, secure the two rear pegging points and then insert two Quicksticks to the outer Quickstick fixings. The Quick-sticks should be inserted into the fabric pole sleeves on the left and right wings of the bivvy.

STEP 5:

If required, you can zip on the front infill panel and attach two front Quicksticks either side of the door to secure the infill panel. Peg out the bivvy using the groundsheet as a template, inserting the pegs through the rings on both the bivvy and the groundsheet.

STEP 6:

Extend the Quicksticks and secure in place to create tension on the shelter before tucking the bivvy draught skirts under the groundsheet.
